Computer / Internet monitoring software ethics for parents?

I’ve been working on computer stuff for clients by word of mouth reference and I noticed that clients always eventually ask me to do one thing for them at some point: install monitoring software so they can keep an eye on what their children are doing.

I feel uneasy about doing it, but I am a wh**e who needs money, so I do it anyway.

I am talking about software that records chat conversations, e-mail, videotapes everything the child does, etc.

At what age do you think you should stop monitoring your child? Should you ever do this to begin with?

keep an eye until they are big enough to protect them from ill-intentioned adult
