I’ve owned a computer for the last 5 years, and I know how to do basic things just to get by, but in terms of general hardware and software know-how, I need major help!!!! Do you have any suggestions on where I can get some advice/training on computer fundamentals…hardware info that is not difficult to understand- hopefully in a visual format or with a live instructor…and eventually more advanced software programs?
Any input would be greatly appreciated!

A simple reboot should restart the service.

If not then find ‘Administrative Tools’ and open up the ‘Services’ management tool.

Scroll to find the correct service, right click on it and click ‘Restart’.

In Vista you can also manage services from the Task Manager (Ctrl+Alt+Del)

I need to monitor my child’s laptop. I do not have access to it due to proximity. So it needs to be installed remotely and be stealth? I have searched to web but it seems so confusing.

I am attempting to start a small computer cleanup business. I would like to do all my cleaning remotely Using programs like LogMeIn Rescue, or TeamViewer. Any other remote connection program recommendations would be recommended.

Things I am hoping to accomplish are as follows:

Discdefrag & Cleanup
Mabe a new Virus program
Browser settings
Registry Cleaner
Any other Computer Cleanup software ideas would be appreciated

Just found out the only way to sync my new laptop with my iPhone and not lose all the stuff on the phone is to use an iPhone to computer transfer program, I googled it and all I was able to find were free trial versions that let you transfer like 5 files – there’s over a thousand on the phone! So where can I get some adware, spyware, and malware free software for this that doesn’t cost anything? I’m broke.

Frankly speaking, it is true that we can save some money by download a free software from the website and use it to do our work.
